N. Welch Mfg. Co., Forestville, Conn., "Donita" shelf clock with a spring driven, 8 day, time and half hour strike movement in a black walnut case, c1892; (3) E. N. Welch Mfg., Co., Forestville, Conn., unidentified shelf clock with a spring driven, 8 day, time and hour strike movement in an oak case, c1900. (4) Ansonia Clock Co., New York, unidentified shelf clock with a spring 8 day, time and half hour strike movement in a walnut case, c1900.
CONDITION: (1) The case retains some finish. The door glass is missing. The paper dial is stained. The hour hand is missing. (2) The case, which is missing the left base return and the top part of the crest, has some original finish. The original painted dial is in good condition. The hands are original. The door glass is original. The movement is signed. (3) The case has lost its finish. The paper dial is replaced. The hands are period. The movement is signed. (4) The case has lost its finish. The dial needs replacing. The hands are original. The door glass is original. The movement is signed. NOTE: The dimensions are for clock number one (1) .
